Who needs to be involved?
Several groups will be needed to support
the installation.
- Electrical - A licensed electrician will
be required for the circuit breaker panel
work, preferably the electrician who is doing
(or did) the original main panel wiring.
- Information Technology - If the building
distances require a network (see "Will
it work in your building?" section),
it would be best to have this work done by
your IT staff or your favorite IT company.
- Design - The selection of an LCD display
and placement of the supporting PC need take
the aesthetics of the building hallway or
lobby into account, so this work probably
should be handled by your architectural design
firm.
- Facilities - Your building manager or facilities
staff may need to be involved to find and
install the appropriate shelves or cabinets
for the PC(s).
The two-week period mentioned in the "What
is the price?" section includes time
for Forward Loop to work with the electrician
during the data logger installation and with
the IT people during the computer and software
installation.
