FLHybridScan
The purpose of the FLHybridScan application is to provide a way for Toyota hybrid owners to monitor various drivetrain parameters, such as temperatures and energy flows.
The app obtains the drivetrain data from your hybrid car via an On-Board Diagnostics device connected to the OBD-II port on your car. The device must have the ELM327 microcontroller, Bluetooth support, and Android compatibility.
Several devices satisfying these requirements are available for about $10-$25 at Amazon.com. The one we used for testing was from BAFX Products (for Android, with Bluetooth), however please note that we are not associated with any of the manufacturers and therefore cannot recommend a particular one. To be a little safer you could purchase one that is advertised to work with another OBD-II app, in case the one you choose does not work with FLHybridScan (if it does not, please send a message to us at the address on the Contact page so that we can warn others to avoid it).
Please test your hardware with FLHybridScan Free for a few days to make sure everything is compatible before buying the Plus version.
